Course is Pre-Ride Ready !
We always mark the course for pre-riding at least one week early so folks can get some pre-ride test-laps logged. This year, it's marked earlier than ever. You can go out today and follow the yellow and black arrows. The markings start from the road at the end of the first 500 yards of single-track that lead from the venue. Reports from our trail crew are that the course is in unusually good shape and that record lap-times are in the offing. We'll still be sending out work crews to sweep sand and dial the course even more. Looks like a very fast year!

Accident Waiver "Wet Signature" Required
USA Cycling's insurance requires that all racers supply hard-copy, "wet signature" Accident Waiver and Release of Liability (AWRL) forms. With 1,600+ racers, this is no small feat and we will need everyone's cooperation to make this as quick and easy as possible. PLEASE, download and print out a hard-copy of the AWRL, then fill it out, sign it and mail it to Granny Gear at the address below to arrive no later than October, 8th.

Mail to:
Granny Gear c/o

217 E Center Street
Moab, UT 84532

Otherwise, you must bring signed waivers for everyone on your team that has not sent a signed form before you can pick-up your race-packets. Or, they will have to fill out and sign them at Race-Packet Pick-up in Moab on Friday between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Masters Championship Class Age Change
The USA Cycling Board of Directors has voted to make the Masters Class age requirement 35+, not 40+. This will allow teams racing in 24 Hour Series Men's and Women's Veteran or Masters classes qualify for the Masters Championship race.

The Masters Championship classes will also be competing within 24-hour Series Men's and Women's Veteran classes. If your team is currently registered in a the 24 Hour Series Veteran or Masters class and you would like your team to be registered in the Masters Championship class, e-mail Connie to have your class changed over. All team members must be US citizens and currently have (or purchase) USAC MTB racing licenses. You can buy a license online or buy one at late registration, in Moab, on Friday, Oct. 9th.

Infinit On-site Fueling
Infinite Nutrition will be at the expo and running their round-the-clock fueling station at the main log-tent entrance/exit. That's right, you can fuel-up before you head-out and refuel after your lap with the same hi-octane energy that powers Pua Sawicki and Chris Eatough to their podium winning efforts. This year, there will not be a remote station out on course, so be sure to visit Infinit at the venue and carry enough fuel for your entire lap.

Using a web-based customization tool, Infinit Nutrition allows you to build your own formulas that work best for you. Plus, you can get a 10% discount when you enter the discount GRANNYGEAR code at check out. Check it out>>>

This just in from Infinit
Infinite Nutrition has just signed-on Josh Tostado, 24 Hours of Moab Champion in the Men's Solo division and has confirmed Tostado's attendance at Moab to defend his title and make his bid to be the USA Cycling 24-hour National Champion, as well.

Defending Champion, Josh Tostado holding the lead and fending off Chris Eatough and Tinker Juarez during the '08 24 Hours of Moab.
