The 2011 24 Hours of Moab

Thanks to all our sponsors who contribute to the success of this event.

All Pro Classes (includes Coed Pro/Am, Men's Pro, Men's Solo Pro, Women's Solo Pro, and Duo Pro/Expert): Pro Classes will be awarded medals and paid a cash purse based on half of the total Pro-class entry fees in each pro category. The purses will be split 50%, 30% and 20% to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, respectively. (Note: Women's Pro have been combined into Women's Pro/Exp and made into a prize class with amateur entry fees.)

All Competitive Amateur Classes and Categories: The top three teams in each of the competitive amateur age classes and ability categories will receive 2012 24 Hours of Moab Medals and prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. (see the prize table, below)

Just-for-Fun Teams: Just-for-Fun racing is, well, just for fun. JFF teams can range in size from 3-person to 10-person teams and do not exclude anyone based on gender, age, or ability level (even pros). With the possibility of a 3-person team of 60-year-old beginners racing against a 10 person team of 20-something pros, it just wouldn't be fair to recognize podium positions and award prizes. If you want to race competitively and earn medals and prizes, this is not the class for you. If you want to wear chicken suits and ride hoopty-bikes, along with half-a-dozen of your friends from high-school, well then, this class is for you! In any case, all of your laps will be recorded and you can compare your results with any of the other teams in the race to see how you did.

Many thanks to our generous sponsors. We couldn't put out such a generous prize-table without their support! We hope you will choose to support them as they have choosen to support you.

*Note: We advertise a $20,000 cash purse. Since the cash purse is based on 50% of pro-class entry fees, it varies according to the size of the pro fields. The amounts shown here are based on pro-class registrations in each class as of October 4th. They're likely to go up a little by the end of late registration. Also, the amount shown here are the total per class which will be split, as noted above, 50%, 30% and 20% to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, respectively.

Also, we advertise $15,000 in prizes and while many people might believe we are exagerating this, in fact, year after year, Granny over-delivers on her prize table. {see below}

Shown below is the prize table from 2010. The 2011 Prize Table will be set and posted in September. Even after posting, prizes are subject to change:
