24 Hours of Snowshoe Home Page

Now in its thirteenth year, The 2004 24 Hours of Snowshoe (formerly the 24 Hours of Canaan) draws as many as 200 teams, 50 solo riders and more than 2,000 spectators. Sometimes referred to as "Woodstock on Wheels,"it has been listed as one of the top three mountain bike events in the U.S. by Mountain Bike and Mountain Bike Action magazines.

Three years of rain soaked courses (add water, makes its own sauce!) combined with the extreme terrain of West Virginia's fifth highest mount have made this event one of the gnarliest and most infamous races in the world-—the arena of the hardest of the hard core mountain bikers.

The race takes place on June 26th & 27th, 2004 at The Silver Creek Lodge at Snowshoe Mountain Resort near Marlinton, West Virginia. Racing is a blast, but you can also have fun as a spectator, volunteer, or as support crew for one of the teams.
