Camping
& RVs
"Semi-primitive" camping is on-site
but space is limited. Reservations are recommended. If there is
still space available on Friday before the race it will be sold
on a first-come-first-served basis. To make a
reservation call Cheryl at (304)259-5533. Camping at Tahoe will
be charged on a per site basis instead of a per person basis.
Each site (15x25 space) will be $40 which allows campers to camp
from Wednesday night through Sunday night. The camping area is
on pavement so you can't use tent pegs but the sites are clean
an level. Hot showers will be available the entire time and a
drinking water supply will be located at the showers. Also, plenty
of port-o-lets will be placed near the campground entrance.
When entering the camping area you will see a pop-up tent. You
must stop here before proceeding to the camping area. A GGP staff
member will find your reservation, verify your information and
give you a camping packet. Enclosed youll find: a paid receipt
(to be displayed at your campsite at all times), camping rules
and regulations and a complimentary trash bag. After you receive
your packet, a GGP staff member will direct you to your assigned
space.
RV parking: There's room for RV parking but
there are no hook-ups of any kind. You will have to be self-contained.
Fees for RVs will be charged per space, just like camping.
