Team Captains: To publicize your team's efforts at this year's 24 Hours of Tahoe, download and submit the following news story to your local newspaper. Open the story in your favorite word processing program (Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, etc.), fill in the blanks provided with quotes by you and your team members (instructions are in brackets [LIKE THIS] and in capital letters; sample quotes are also provided), and you'll have an up-to-date article that your local paper can run. It's a good idea to call ahead and talk to an editor or reporter about your team and the race - that way, you'll have a better chance of seeing the article in your local pub. When you call, ask about length - if space in the paper is tight, use the abridged version of the article that follows the full length article. If the editor or reporter wants to go ahead and write their own article about your team, give them a copy of the full length article, which will make their job easier.
